The Piano Express method produces incredible students and gamifies their learning experience… they want to get a high score!
- Student Discovery - Students attend a weekly, one-hour small group that is powered by Piano Express.
- Student Assessment - The first half hour is focused on student assessment; the second half hour is focused on musicianship, ear training, sight-reading, and theory.
- At-Home Practice - Students leave the studio empowered to make real and significant progress at home… because the app allows them to master songs from anywhere!

About Piano Express
Piano Express is a group piano method that was created in 2010. It is a 6-level progressive method that takes students to the late beginner stage. The final book contains exam repertoire from the Royal Conservatory of Music assessment system. Here are some key features about PIano Express:
- The Piano Express has an app that works “hand-in-glove” with the printed materials. Students can make progress on their repertoire both in-studio and at home!
- The Piano Express group class is divided into two segments: assessment and discovery. During assessment time, students work at their own pace.
- The app includes dozens of HD video demonstrations of the songs and concepts in each level, so that students can move forward in their books at their pace.
- The Piano Express curriculum includes sight-reading and ear training exercises. The app includes tools that test student comprehension and musical literacy.
- The app gamifies the learning experience by testing and awarding “Star Points” to students for their performances. This has the effect of increasing student practice time as they try to get perfect scores on their songs. It also is a key factor in students choosing to move forward in their books at home… a choice they make on their own!

Books are not included. Students will need to purchase the $25 books sets for their level. Computers are provided at at DRMA, but not at home. Students will neeed access to a Chromebook or Windows laptop.

Advanced Students
For the students who accel, we rise to the challenge by providing top-notch professional tools to help the advanced players reach their particular goals. Advanced reading, scales and high-level solo and improvisation training is introduced.
Ukulele Lesson Info
More InfoThe Ukulele is a relatively easy instrument to learn and it can be learned at DRMA starting at age 7. Students learn how to strum, play chords and play their favorite songs. The benefits of learning to play the Ukulele include improving hand-eye coordination, developing your musical ear, and expressing yourself through music.

How it Works
Book a private trial lesson and experience our lessons first hand. A trial lesson is a great way to test drive a lesson without the concerns of a long term commitment, and make sure there is a perfect fit between the student and the teacher.
