Kids Pop Choir is a high-energy performance program where students sing, move, and shine on stage while developing strong vocal and performance skills. Singers explore popular artist hits, musical theatre favorites, and movie soundtrack songs while building confidence, harmonies, teamwork, and stage presence in an upbeat and supportive environment. The semester concludes with an exciting live performance experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need previous singing experience?

    No! Our choirs are open to singers of all experience levels. Whether you're brand new to singing or have years of experience, you'll have opportunities to learn, grow, and perform.

  • Do I need to audition?

    No auditions are required. Our choirs are designed to be welcoming, encouraging, and educational while helping singers develop their skills and confidence.

  • What type of music will we sing?

    Repertoire may include:


    • Popular music

    • Musical theatre selections

    • Movie soundtrack favorites

    • Contemporary hits

    • Seasonal and special event music


  • Will there be performances?

    Yes! All choirs will work toward performances throughout the season, including a final performance at the end of the session.

  • What should I bring to rehearsal?

    • Water bottle

    • Pencil

    • Music folder (if provided)

  • Can I miss a rehearsal?

    Yes. While regular attendance is encouraged to help students learn music and prepare for performances, we understand that occasional absences may happen.

  • Can I join after the session begins?

    If space is available, late enrollment may be possible. Just ask the front desk for availability!

  • Class Length: 50-minute sessions
  • 30 Available Rehearsal Dates
  • Tuition: $299 per student
  • Enrollment Fee: $30 (WAIVED FOR EXISTING STUDENTS)
  • Final Perfomance Dates: December 12th and 14th
  • Performance Attire: After signing up you will receive a link to order a class-specific T-shirt to wear in the final performance.

Terms & Conditions for Pop Choirs @ DRMA

1. Participant Eligibility

  • This class is open to students aged 9 to 12.


2. Rehearsals and Attendance

  • Regular attendance at rehearsals, performances, and scheduled events is mandatory.
  • Rehearsals are held at Desert Ridge Music Academy on Saturdays.
  • If a member cannot attend, no notice is required, but appreciated.
  • Repeated absences may result in removal from the program.


3. Code of Conduct

  • All class members are expected to represent Desert Ridge Music Academy with respect, maturity, and kindness.
  • Disruptive behavior, bullying, or disrespect toward staff or peers will not be tolerated.
  • Members must follow all directions from staff and volunteers during rehearsals and performances.


4. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for timely drop-off and pick-up.
  • It is essential to notify the Academy of any changes in emergency contact or medical information.
  • Parents/guardians must inform staff of any allergies, health conditions, or special needs.


5. Performances and Attire

  • Members are expected to participate in all scheduled performances unless excused in advance.
  • Performance attire will be specified by the Academy and must be worn as directed.


6. Tuition and Fees

  • Class participation may involve tuition or event fees as outlined by Desert Ridge Music Academy.
  • All fees must be paid on time; failure to do so may result in suspension of participation.
  • There are no credits issued for missed rehearsals. Nor refunds for early withdrawal unless under special circumstances.


7. Media and Promotion

  • Desert Ridge Music Academy may photograph, record, or film choir activities for educational, promotional, and archival use.
  • Parents/guardians who do not consent must provide written notice to the Academy.


8. Safety and Supervision

  • The Academy is committed to providing a safe environment in line with its child safeguarding policies.
  • In the event of illness or injury, first aid will be provided, and parents/guardians will be contacted immediately.


9. Communication

  • All official communication will be via [email, text, or Opus1].
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for checking updates and responding when necessary.


10. Membership Termination

  • Desert Ridge Music Academy reserves the right to terminate a member’s participation for violations of these terms.
  • Members may voluntarily withdraw with reasonable notice to the choir director.
